Frequently Asked Questions
-
No experience is needed to get started. Beginner classes are designed for women who are brand new to poker and want to learn in a clear, supportive way.
If you already have some experience, you’re absolutely welcome too. Classes are offered at different levels so you can join where it feels right for you, and hosted poker nights give you the chance to practice, build confidence, and feel more comfortable at the table.
Beyond learning poker, this is about community and connection. Many women join to meet like-minded people, form friendships, and be part of a welcoming women’s poker community — with poker being the bonus.
-
Yes — all group classes, hosted poker nights, and women’s events are exclusively for women.
This is a deliberate choice to protect a safe, supportive learning environment where women can ask questions, make mistakes, build confidence, and grow without pressure or disruption.
One-on-one coaching is available for men only in a private setting.
This ensures that men who want to learn poker still have access to coaching without impacting the women-only community space, which is a core value of All-In Poker — Her Way.
The women’s space always comes first.
-
No — this is education and structured learning, not gambling.
All classes and hosted learning nights are run with no cash, no wagering, and no financial risk.
Poker chips are used purely as learning tools to help you understand strategy, decision-making, and game flow.
Even during hosted poker nights, the focus is on:
applying skills in a real-game format
gaining confidence and experience
understanding poker mechanics in a safe environment
There are no cash prizes, no buy-ins, and no money exchanged.
-
That’s exactly who this space is designed for.
Many women arrive feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or worried they’ll “look silly.”
Classes are intentionally small, supportive, and paced so everyone feels included — no pressure to perform and no expectation to already know the rules.
You’re encouraged to:
ask questions
take your time
learn at your own pace
Confidence builds naturally here — not forced.
-
Classes are where you learn and understand poker.
Hosted poker nights are where you practice and apply what you’ve learned in a relaxed, social setting.
Classes focus on rules, strategy, decision-making, and skill progression
Poker nights help bridge the gap between learning and real-world play
Many women do both — learning first, then building confidence through experience.
-
Group sizes are kept intentionally small to ensure quality and inclusion:
Beginner classes: up to 10 women
Other level classes: 2–6 women
Hosted poker nights: 8–9 players
This ensures everyone gets attention, feels comfortable, and isn’t lost in a crowd.
-
Not at all.
Some women are here purely for social connection and confidence.
Others want to improve their skills, play competitively, or explore higher-level poker.
There is no pressure to level up, no expectation to compete, and no “one path fits all.”
You choose how far you go — or if you just stay exactly where you’re comfortable.
-
Whatever feels right for you.
You’re welcome to bring:
a notebook if you like taking notes
BYO drinks or snacks (where venues allow)
questions, curiosity, or zero confidence — all are welcome
Everything needed to run the session is provided.
This is meant to feel real, relaxed, and human, not formal or intimidating.
-
Absolutely.
Many women come primarily for the social connection, confidence, and shared experience.
Poker is often the starting point — but the real value is community, comfort, and belonging.
You don’t need to be competitive.
You don’t need to be serious.
You just need to want a welcoming space to show up and enjoy.
